Blades Competitive Soccer Program
The Blades is a competitive soccer team program starting at the U9/10 level up to the U18/19, for the player who as the skills and determination to play at higher level of competitive. Tryouts (Player Identification Sessions) for the Blades Teams are held in June for the upcoming season that beings August 1st and end July 31st. At the Player ID sessions. the playerw will be evaluated on flexibility as a player, speed, skills and agility. Players will be selected for the Blades teams will be notified shortly after Player ID.
Blades Competitive Team Rules
The Blades players can expect to travel in and out of the state trhoughout the year to tournaments and events of different formats and levels. U12 and older teams have the opprotunity to participate in the USYS Far West Regionals or the President's Cup in June. Certain Qualifications apply to those tournaments.
The annual fees for the Casper Blades program is determined by the CSC Board of Directors prior to the the season.
Fees for the 2012/2013 season will be posted shortly.
Fees include but are not limited to USYS membership pass, insurance, CSC membership fees, city player fees and equipment and opperating cost.
Blades Uniform
Each player is responsible for purchasing the Blades Uniform. The Uniform consists of a Red Jersey, a White Jersey, Black Shorts and red and white socks. Current Uniform cost is $91 with a Trade In program.
Travel expenses, tournament fees, WyoLeague fees, referee fees etc., are at the expense of the teams and players. Tournament expenses are divided equally amount the team members.
U15-18/19 (HS) Competitive Players
WYS and the Casper Soccer Club offer opprotunties for the U15-U18 competitive player as well. WYS offers a 6v6 U19 WyoLeague division and there are several tournaments to attend during the fall and a few winter events to participate in. The Players are registered with USYS, the same as the younger competitive players but are ineligilb for club play during the high school soccer season.
The fee sor the U15-18 age group is determined prior to the fall soccer season. The fee will include USYS membership, insurance, city field use fees, WYS State League registration, referee fees and the Casper Fall Classic. Travel expenses and other tournament fees are the responsiblity of the players and will be determined by event.
JUNIOR BLADES - (formerly the Sabres)
The Junior Blades program is for the U7-U8 is a transition from the recreational program to the competitive program. The players who participate in the Junior Blades must participate in the recreational program and their recreational team is the first responsibility of the Junior Blades. Junior Blades will need to work around the recreational league season. The Junior Blades will be limited to the 4 tournaments outside of Casper during the soccer year. Junior Blades has a no cut policy and will be considered Rec teams or Rec Plus teams when entering tournaments and will enter in tournaments that offer a U8 division.
Fees will be based on required registration for the players.
Jerseys for the Junior Blades will be provided by the club and will require a deposit.
At age 12, players have the opprotunity to improve their soccer skills and knowledge by participating in the Wyomingg Youth Soccer Olympic Developmnet Program (WYS ODP). The WYS ODP program gives the players the opprotunity to train and compete at a higher level with players who have the same ambition.
